Ingredients:
- 3 teaspoons orange zest
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 3/4 cup [150 g] sugar
You’ll also need:
- airtight container
- cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
- food processor
Preheat the oven to the lowest temperature.
Add zest to a lined cookie sheet and place in the pre-heated oven for 10 minutes or until the zest is fragrant and dry but not browned.
Let cool completely.
Transfer to a food processor, and add sugar. Pulse until zest has been finely ground, about 1 minute.
Store in an airtight container.
You can use this sugar in baking, on top of cookies and scones. Or use it instead of plain granulated sugar.
